Half Auntie. Half Mother. All Love.
Afro-Latino Mother's Day card by Marisol Beltrán
Inside the card
In Afro-Latino families, love doesn't stay in its lane. The tía who mothers you. The neighbor who claims you. The woman at church who always has your name on her prayer list. You were that woman for us. You crossed the line between relative and parent like it wasn't even there — because for you, it wasn't. Happy Mother's Day, Tía. Both our cultures taught us that family is who shows up. You showed up.
